What Is Reiki?

Reiki means universal (rei) life-force energy (ki. . .like chi or qi). 

Ki is something that flows through all things. Imbalances or blockages in your ki lead to illness and conflict



Reiki is a system of directing ki (like acupuncture or chinese medicine) by placing hands on the body, and around the body in its energy field. This enhances the flow of energy and clears blockages, enabling the body to heal itself


What Is Reiki For?

Reiki can facilitate:

-physical healing

-intuition enhancement
-chakra balancing
-emotional clearing
-mental clarity
-breaking habits & negative patterns
-enhancing the effectiveness of other treatments without interfering

A Reiki Session

A typical session lasts from 45 minutes to one hour.  The client lays on a massage-type table on their back, fully clothed, and may be covered by a blanket. The practitioner places their hands gently on the client's body, starting at the head, and moving towards the feet (avoiding private or sensitive areas), facilitating energy flow and sensing where extra attention may be needed. This is repeated with the hands hovering over the body, directing energy through the energy field and addressing imbalances. The process is repeated with the client laying on their front. 

For most people it is an extremely relaxing experience.

Following the treatment it is common to experience an enhanced sense of vitality and well-being, deeper spiritual connection, heightened sense of intuition, and alleviation or reduction of pain. Occasionally, tears or laughter may signal a significant emotional release.
